FITC-DEAE-dextran 4 is supplied as a yellow powder which is freely soluble in water or electrolyte solutions. The FITC-content lies between 0.001 - 0.008 and the DEAE content corresponds a nitrogen content of 3-5% - which corresponds to about one DEAE-substituent per three glucose units.
