Hyaluronic acid(HA) may be obtained from various sources, for example rooster combs or Streptococcus equi. We can supply derivatives of either of these qualities labelled with fluorescein or with Tetramethyl-Rhodamine. The labelling procedures do not lead to depolymerisation of the HA.The products are controlled for free fluorochromes, degree of substitution, loss on drying and molecular weight. Molecular weight distributions are determined by GPC using dextran calibration.
