Z23 is a human monoclonal antibody isolated from a Zika virus (ZIKV) patient that potently neutralizes ZIKV by targeting its Envelope (E) protein. It provides protection in animal models, shows high specificity for ZIKV without cross-reactivity to Dengue virus, and serves as a valuable candidate for antiviral therapies and vaccine development. Structural studies reveal how Z23 blocks viral entry.
